Printing Instructions
1. Preparing Image
-Check printer settings; Heavy paper mode is
recommended.
-Print image on the paper with the correct orientation.
MIRROR/REVERSE the image. This can be done within the printer’s property panel. For additional information, see your printer’s instruction manual.
-Check printer settings; manual feeding of paper
through the bypass tray of the printer/copier is recommended.
-Be sure to print on the correct side of the paper. The glossy side is the side to receive the image.
2. Trim Transfer
-If transferring on a mug, trim transfer leaving 1/16” - 1/8’ of the border.
TRANSFERING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Transferring on MAGNETS, METALS,
AND LICENSE PLATES:
Heat Press & “A” Pad REQUIRED
-Prepare heat press at 230 degrees F.
-Place the plain paper under the item that is receiving a transfer. (This is to help assist in the removal of items from the press while still hot and to protect the press from overlapping toner.) Place in press.
-Position the entire transfer sheet, image side down, over the item in press.
-Place the “A” pad on top of the transfer.
-Using the above-recommended temperature, press at medium pressure for 180 seconds.
Transferring on MUGS:
Mug Press REQUIRED (May require “A” Pad)
-Prepare mug press at 250 degrees F.
-Secure transfer, image side facing mug, using heat resistant tape.
-Place the mug in press and press for 90 seconds.
2. Cold Peel
-Cool by immersing in cold water. When cool, peel away the transfer paper.
Note:
The mugs should be placed in an oven for 10 minutes at 275 degrees F to glaze the toner. This will prevent flaking when the mug is washed.
